Shadow of a Writing HandAs a reminder, we are accepting student essay submissions until October 20, 2010 for our Hispanic Heritage student writing contest. It’s an excellent opportunity for students to practice their writing skills in an authentic context and also participate in an opportunity to win a prize!! There are only 20 days remaining, so if you plan on submitting an essay you should get started soon!

Please note that we originally stated that essay submissions must be in the form of an email. However, based on feedback from participants we will accept hand written final copies by mail or fax. If you would like to mail or fax a copy, please email us for contact information at multilingualmania(at)yahoo(dot)com. Digital essay submissions will continue to also be accepted by email.

All submissions must include student’s name, grade (between grades 3-12) and teacher contact information. As a reminder, by submitting the essay in hand written form or through email, students and their parents are giving consent that their essay might possibly be published on our website if the student essay committee identifies it as a candidate for the final round of voting.

If you would like information about our writing contest, you can find additional information here. Please spread the word!!
