I was overwhelmed with emotions the day my friend, mother of Juan Antonio, sent me the link to this essay about me. I love working with children and young adults and have most of my life and will continue to do so. They are the future.

It’s wonderful to review the writing of such an awe-inspired individual.

A heart-based expressive piece of writing that speaks well of this budding young author. I look forward to reading more of Juan Antonio’s writing.

I myself have heard great things about Jovita. Juan Antonio and all of Alianza children are blessed to have her as their Liberian. Best of luck!

I appreciate John Anthony’s tribute and his very personal voice in the essay. As a member of the Alianza learning community, I couldn’t agree more! Jovita is our treasure and secret weapon for literacy!
¡Bien hecho Juan Antonio!

I salute Christian Ulmana for not letting a bad thing keep him down and for actually finding his predicament a motivation for aspiring for more. Your family is very lucky to have you!
