in Student Writing Contest

Our third student essay was written by Megan Molina, a fifth grade student at Calmeca Academy for the Fine Arts and Dual Language in Chicago, Illinois. As a reminder, all entries will be posted “as is” without any revisions or editing by Multilingual Mania:

This essay will be about our Pastor “Tony” Navarro. First, I will tell you why he is important to me. How he affects our community and how he has impacted my life.

Pastor “Tony” Navarro is very important to me because he is our pastor and he opens his heart to everyone. He is also important to me because his youngest son Jeremiah has been my friend for a long time.”Tony” is also important to me because he prays for me whenever I need prayer.

“Tony” affects our community because he changes the lives of people. For example, a teenager named Julian was baptized before the Lord because he heard God calling him to be baptized. The reason he was baptized was because “Tony” asked everyone if God was to be baptized  and let God pour out his love into your soul and so that we can start a new life and walk with the Lord. He also affects our community because he works at Target and assists people that need his help.

“Tony” has impacted my life because he always encourages me and helps me walk with God. He is a powerful man of God and he wants me to become a powerful woman of God and that I will not be afraid to tell everyone about the Gospel.

“Tony” is Puerto-Rican and so is the rest of his family. He is important to me because he is our loving Pastor. He affects our community by preaching the word of God and by working at Target. He has impacted my life because he’s encouraging me not to be ashamed of the Gospel.

Stay tuned for additional student essays!
