Every year September 15 marks the start of Hispanic Heritage month, a month of celebration which runs from September 15-October 15 of each year. This year we will be hosting our second annual Hispanic Heritage Student Writing Contest where students in grades 3-12 write about a Latina or Latino who has made a significant impact in their lives or on society.
Students who would like to submit an entry may do so between September 15-October 15 by email to multilingualmania(at)yahoo(dot)com. A panel of Multilingual Mania contributors will vote on select entries to be featured on the Multilingual Mania website. All email entries must include the student writer’s name and grade. Readers will vote on featured articles between October 24-31.
The prizes are:
First place: $75 Visa Gift Card
Second place: $50 Visa Gift Card
Third place: $25 Visa Gift Card
Check back frequently for updates, tips and resources for students and teachers that will facilitate biography or personal reflection essays.
